The Angels: An Angelic Race Of People:
The Angel or Angelic people are a race which is born from the pure Light of the universe's glow. As they have no real limitations or structure in their birth and growth, they will be taken to the nearby world Citadella and into the Citadel of Light for education and personality growth. The Angel people are a condensed form of light which takes the shape and features of a humanoid form. Their humanoid form has white skin with a golden shimmer, golden eyes, and blond hair. They can lessen the glowing effects allowing them to blend into society secretly as the entire world's population already knows of their existence. They can freely change their size and features as they settle on a look that suits them, they will stand between 1.5-3 meters tall with their average being 1.9 meters. Due to their body being made entirely of Light they are very light weight weighing around the weight of a sack of potatoes. They are a completely blank slate with no memories or name, as they transition into Citadella the world below them they are to pick their own name. This is the absolute first thing they ever do as they begin their new life on Citadella and at The Citadel of Light.
History:
Citadella and The Citadel of Light:
The Citadel of Light is an all purpose housing station located above the world Citadella, a world founded where one of the Empire’s best Healers Academy is located. It is a mid-sized world with a normal 10 ms^2 gravity allowing for the ease of living for all races. It has a magic based adventuring medieval technological world where all forms of power comes from magic. All people on Citadella can use magic and everyday life mimics what is found within the modern Astarian Empire. The world is lush with both flora and fauna as forests are deep, game is plentiful, fields are flowered, and farmlands are always full. There are many nations located around the Citadel of Light and Citadella, the capital city named after the world. It has some minor conflicts as the different races of people do battle and try to conquer each other when outside the capitol city. The world is a pristine haven world that has a perfect balance of night and day, conflict and resolution, healing and restoration, although there are many positives the main drawback is that the world is isolated and under watchful eyes. With no real way for the populace to leave their world, they lack the intense insight and foresight to expand their visions and desires past their own worlds.
This world is a large conglomerate of races stuck together across the world in unison as they hunt creatures and go about their medieval style lives. Surprisingly the Angel people live amongst the people of the world as they have very low birth rates. They live and work alongside all the regular races of people as they learn who and what they are. While maintaining a normal school academy life and making friends along the way. In a normal sense when everyone completes their high school like academy, they are given the choice to enter into advanced education, go into the military, or begin working. In the case of Angels, they will go into the Citadel of Light and finish more advanced education and training.
While at the Citadel of Light, they will undergo various levels of education and learn how to control their abilities after completing all education and training on Citedella. As they can still keep in touch with and monitor their friends and their lives, their training is a more focused endeavor as they know who they are, now they must develop into what they are. As beings of Light, created in the Universe's glow, The Angels are a power Light based magic casting race that are all trained in Healing magic and combat. Angels however are not morally good beings like one may think. They are beings which serve their own masters in a justice which fits them. It is very common to see Angels serving churches as guides or Gods as messengers and servants, however it is not as rare as one thinks to see them serve Demons or “Dark Gods” as people have put them.
Angelic Culture:
After Angels have reached a long lived life and gained much experience across their vast years, they may begin the process to become an Elder Angel and enter into the Angelic Council. The Angelic Council is overseen by Supreme High Archangel Tabitha as she oversees not just Angels but also all Gods and Divine throughout the vast territory of the Empire. The council makes sure that each of the races morally good or bad follows the Astarian Empires doctrine and always pushes for the Empire’s greatness. As they don’t intervene into the matters of other Gods, Angels, or Divine beings for the most part, when they do it is usually in regards to their swift elimination and removal.
The Culture Of Angelic Beings:
Over time the Angels in service to the Empire have begun to amass a great deal of teachings that they pass down and bestow onto the churches and other religious groups in the worlds below them. They preach the teachings of the Astarian Empire through the Universal Truths which help to promote good religious devotees.
All religions wear the mask of the Universe.
All beliefs flow into and from the Universe.
The Universe will take on any devoted form.
Karma allows for actions and deeds to be given and received in a balance.
Where the head goes the body follows.
Actions weigh more than words.
Happiness can always be found in all places.
The other side is not always better, just different.
All actions have consequences, whether they are good or bad.
Angelic Specializations:
Training And Specializations:
After going through all the required education on Citedella, and entering into the Citadel of Light, the Angels undergo more advanced training and education. Once their advanced population, culture, and religion studies are fully completed they begin the specialization training. This allows them to become extremely gifted guides and teachers to Angels and other races on various worlds. As they are a very long lived race they will spend hundreds of years learning each aspect until they reach a master level in the following specialties. Caster, Warrior, Ranger, Shadow, Explorer, and Scholar.
Scholar Specialization:
This is usually the first Specialization finished as it is tied to all forms of education and schooling. To fully complete the Scholar Specialization one must complete all Citedalla Academic Education, Citadel of Light Academic Education, and the Population, Culture, and Religion Studies of all 31 major races in the Astarian Empire. All new and relevant information is studied during their other training and is up to them to learn the ins and outs as well as all the newest information within the Empire about the races within. Once they are able to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in written tests they may move on to the Caster Specialization.
Caster Specialization:
The longest study every Angel must undergo. At a minimum they must learn Magic from the 3 main Light based Magics: Arcane Spells, Light Spells, and Holy Spells. As the Angels are beings of Light, all Light based Magic Spells are easier to learn and master. After learning the other 2 Magics and becoming a Master of the Caster Specialization, they can choose to either move onto the Ranger Specialization or the Shadow Specialization. Most of the time the Angel will prefer to complete all 12 schools of Magic and will complete the following 12 in any order after completing the Light, Holy, and Arcane Schools of Magic. The 12 schools of magic are: Arcane, Corrosive, Dark, Earth, Fire, Holy, Ice, Light, Lightning, Nature, Water, Wind. Once they are able to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in practical tests they may move on to the Ranger Specialization.
Ranger Specialization:
The Ranger Specialization focuses on condensing their newfound magical power into a created magical bow, magical crossbow, magical long bow, or a magical rifle. Depending on the preference of the Angel and the equipment they favor, they will train using their favorite first before at least using one of the other types. They need to learn how to weave the magic into their shots as well as how to use different element ammunition for their weapons. Once they are able to fully develop and use their magical ranged weapons in combat at a mastery level, they are then required to learn battlefield tactics and ranged tactics. This includes how to hide on the battlefield and use their long ranged attacks to snipe a target then pack up and leave. Once completing all required courses and the Mastery of a Magical Pistol or Rifle and 1 other Magical Bow Type Weapon they will finish this specialization and move onto the Shadow Specialization.
Shadow Specialization:
The Shadow Specialization is a fully stealth specialization which teaches Angels the arts of stealth and infiltration. Although this is mainly used to hide their appearance and solidify themselves so they can slip by most detection methods, they are able to use their light based bodies to sneak through physical objects like bars or holes. They learn how to rapidly shift their weight as to walk not just gracefully but also to not set off any kinds of traps. Even if stepping on or through a trap, they learn to make their body super less dense in the affected area to negate the cord breaking a physical body would have. Angels also learn how to glide and hover float across the ground making for a powerful highly mobile combat unit. Once they complete all the advanced training methods and tasks they will then do the Warrior Specialization.
Warrior Specialization:
The Warrior Specialization is the specialization which focuses heavily on combat and warfare. The Angels undergo rigorous training with a multitude of weapons before they are allowed to pick their very best to become a master at. The Angels use the Astarian Empire’s Weapon Manual or Combat Manual which covers basic movements and attacks for hand to hand combat as well as sword combat with or without a shield. The other weapons they are free to learn and master as the empire has no real say in them. Once they gain a large proficiency in most weapon types and fighting styles they will become a Master. As a Master of the Warrior Specialization the Angel will then get to don their armor. As it is made from solidifying various parts of their body into plates, the Angel makes the armor they desire and can freely change it as needed. Seeing an Angel donned in armor means full completion of the Warrior Specialization. They then move on to the Explorer Specialization.
Explorer Specialization:
The Explorer Specialization focuses on all aspects of exploration, dungeon exploration, and natural exploration like caves and forests. They learn all the various tools, knowledge, survival instincts, and how to document and record their travels. The Explorer Specialization is done after the other Specializations as the spells, skills, and abilities learned provide for useful boons to make this job easier to do. During this training phase they receive real practice as they are tasked with doing various Specialization tasks around the world for the local adventurers guild. Once they are able to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and success as an Explorer they may move onto graduation and completion of all training.
Graduating and Sanctify
Once all training and studies are finished the Angel undergoes a Sanctify. It is a large graduation party-like ritual that allows the Angels to embark on a new path in their lives. The Sanctified Angel will choose their new path in life. They will either enter into the Astarian Empire’s Military, join the Citadel of Light as a trainer or instructor, join a God who is in need of a Servant, become a guide for a religious institution like a Church or Cult, or some other task which may be called upon them.
The Empires Thoughts On Each Race:
The Astarian Empire sees Angels as a good battlefield medic and excellent Light based Magic Casters. They are highly skilled in most forms of Melee combat and can use magically enhanced ranged weapons. Although they are rarely seen on the battlefield, their combat power is some of the highest among the other races. They are extremely diverse and versatile in all aspects and paths in life they choose.
After The Great Cataclysmic Shift:
Angels began to undergo a slower, more developed birth and development process to gather more power and become stronger while in service to the Empire. This has allowed them to be stronger than before, able to keep up with the various races which have begun to rampage across the galaxy.

Playing Angels In TTRPG and or RPG Games:
In most Role Playing Games, Angels are seen as combat focused healers and or party buffers. They have a large assortment of Blessings, Auras, Combat Skills, and decent resistances. Although Angels can’t use other forms of equipment unless it is created by themselves, this will greatly limit the power and abilities they would gain from equipment. Instead Angels focus on becoming jack of all trades magic casters.
Playing Angels In Turn Based Strategy and or RTS Games:
In most strategy games Angels are seen as Caster/Combat Units that are able to heal and buff their allies while holding their own in some combat situations. A squad of them may by time while they can heal and buff each other through the damage but that is only a temporary situation.
