The Astarian Empire Military Bots
A subset of mechanical bot units under the mechanized military, the bots are generally the weakest of all mechanical vehicle units. They are all terrain and all general purpose but they are cheap to field and operate. As they are easy to mass produce, their speed makes them a deadly force as they can maneuver into enemy bases and behind enemy lines. As the mechs, tanks, and ships of the empire grow larger in size gaining heavy weapons, all the bots except the Mega Bot are the same size built on the same frame. With the success of General All Purpose Mechs or GAP Mechs becoming a highly valuable asset, the bots are designed and manufactured in the same way. The empire shares its bot technology to others for personal gain and even if they raise endless armies of bots the Adjutant can cull them while the empires armor division can remove their existence.
Bot Classification
Bots in the empire take an ease of construction approach. As the bots are listed together with their heavier variant what changes between the two isn't more armor or an increase in size but instead an additional weapon of the same type is added. This keeps the enemies and allies in the know of its simplicity and ease of use.
A bot with one laser is a Laser Bot while a bot with two lasers is a Heavy Laser Bot.

Mech Description:
A bot which is used to perform various tasks within the empire. Outfitted with basic weaponry in their arm slot allows for it to be named after its weapon. A bot which has a single laser gun in its arm slot is a Laser Bot, while if it has both arm slots as laser guns it becomes a Heavy Laser Bot. Generally the cost of the bot is cheap due to its smaller size and ease of installation for weaponry, the only real cost becomes materials for the weapon it uses. Bots generally have lower stats and survivability in combat, but their rapid production makes them a fear unique to the bot menace.

The Astarian Empire Military Mechs
Mechs in the Empire are focused around two key pillars, General All Purpose or Specialized Assault Mechs. General All Purpose mechs are more common due to their ease of use and the 4 R’s, the cost to rearm, replenish, repair, and refit. This allows for quick deployment either by drop pod or shuttle deployment. The Specialized Assault Mechs are what Magistrates, Supremes, and a few chosen will operate. Although the empire focuses heavily on the GAP, a few workshops make and maintain SAM mechs across the galaxy. Although they are seen as the be all and end all mecha powerhouses, the empire’s highly trained and magically enhanced soldiers make better use of them 9 out of 10 times. The General All Purpose mechs of the empire strike fear within all who oppose them as they are seen as large black crab spider-like mecha with a sharp tail to deal intense piercing damage to targets at close range. They have smaller “arms” or arm weapons with sharp claws to tear apart enemy units.
With the empire focusing on a more crab spider design, other nations use more humanoid like mech design. The empire focuses on these black demonic mech units to strike fear into the enemy as they leap large distances to close the gap and engage in combat against the enemy wherever they may hide. They are highly mobile all terrain mech units that bridge the gap between ground troops and heavy mobile armor. The mechs are distinguished by their different types, functions, and sizes. Heavier variants are those who have an extra weapon of the same type or an upgraded weapon and have better overall systems.
Most of the combat will be done by the standard mechs with the squad leaders leading their troops in the heavier variant. To denote what rank they are, they go by a large colored stripe down the middle line of the mech completely around it visible at all angles. On the battlefield, look for the higher color to denote ones experience and rank within the vast space around you. Starting with Grey it will go to White, then blue, then purple, then green, then yellow, then orange, and then finally red.
Specialized Assault Mechs come in many different shapes and sizes within the galaxy. As their use, loadout, armament, and defenses are all dependent on the user, their weaponry can vary from smaller personal blasters to massive plasma cannons. Since they are personalized, many of them are super all purpose weapons of mass destruction or SWMD's. A ship may forgo their entire mech company and instead focus on having a few of these Mech Units in their place. They are large humanoid like mech units that can be piloted by up to 2 people depending on their style and requirements.
A few of these special mechs have the ability to “transform” by fusing together to make a stronger variant increasing the weapons and power but requiring the pilots to be in sync. Using either 3 or 5 people in their combinations, they become a huge mecha able to fight entire capital ships and fleets as a whole.
Some of these specialized mechs have a unique system where it requires 1 male and 1 female pilot as depending on the world they hail from one is the pilot while the other is the driver. The driver is usually slumped over with the pilot attached to them from behind as they both work in unison to pilot the mech. These mechs are much stronger than single pilot mechs but the fallout of the pilots are much worse.
In a few rare cases there are bio mechs which are smaller suits which are embedded into the skin and form into a mini mech suit around the pilot allowing them to use their own mech suit or another mech entirely.
Mech Classification
Mech units within the empire are classified into 2 main types, the General All Purpose Mech or GAP Mech and the Specialized Assault Mech or SAM. 90% of all Mech units within the empire consist of GAP Mech units as they are easy to use and repair after conflicts. Within space combat the empire focuses all of their efforts on the 3 main GAP Mechs and the SAM's. Although SAM units tend to not operate on world, in a few cases they can be pulled down from orbit to enter the fight as needed.

It has a small booster for long jumps, shock absorption and stored burst EMP release after it lands to make for longer jumps, it is outfitted with a laser cannon and a grappling hook. Although it is supposed to use the grappling hook for climbing purposes, it makes for a great trapper and ambush assault mech unit in a pinch. Against the enemies larger more clunky mechs, these quick trappers will bring it down quickly like early people hunting massive beasts.

Mech Description:
A larger, more sturdy mech that charges into battle using their sonic blade and lightning arcing tesla weapon. Their lightning shot will bounce between enemy targets inflicting stun and slowing their targets down as they close the distance with their sonic blade. This makes for a great wombo combo one two punch as the blade will cut through the shocked and stunned flesh and armor in a highly aggressive manner. The heavier variant changes from aggressive to more defensive as it has 2 lightning guns and plays a more stun and shocking support role allowing for others to deliver the finishing blow.

Mech Description:
A larger, more sturdy mech that has 4 “arms” to use different weapons as it is shielded by its personal slow charge high capacity bubble shield generator. It can shield those under its tall 3 metal legs and even use its leg repair units to repair smaller armored vehicles. Mostly used a mobile repair platform, the walking unit is able to destroy targets from great distances.. Although it looks more like a spider tree monster and not a mech due to the placement of the high long legs and high arms, they are powerful walkers of great destruction which will reek of death and metal from the destroyed husks and shells of the enemy. The heavy battle mech is much taller standing at 12 meters and is able to repair most of the empire's vehicles. As it is larger the power generator makes for a stronger and faster charging shield unit.

Due to the nature of the large weapon, a huge 50 or 100 gallon drum of munitions is attached to the top as it is gravity fed and can hold between 100-200 thousand rounds. It is highly effective against fleshy targets and light armor.
