Description
The Explorer Mk 04 or the Space Exploration Unit SEU-04 is the space unit version of the HAS. The SEU-04 is fully sealed, isolating the wearer from the outside environment and protecting them from gas weapons and harsh atmospheres. Featuring life support systems which scrub the expelled gases and waste from the body to adapt it to the user, this armor is mainly by explorers and other groups of non combatants. The SEU-04 is rated against 6 IR-01 rounds as it is a heavy armored unit but is used for non combat purposes. Originally space armor was used for just survival in space, the suit was built as a HAS unit to survive impacts in space. Used by orbital drop troops, it is standard issued HAS armor with the advantage of being able to survive in space and take some punishments. Misconceptions rise when people think they are all powerful super units that come from orbit yet they are just regular HAS suits with additional systems in place for survival in places you would never expect to be in. The advantages of the armor lies within its ceramic plating and coatings applied which greatly reduce all forms of radiation and atmospheric conditions.

History
SEU-01 or Explorer MK. 01
A large slow moving bulky pod with many arms got the main job of repairing structures and ships in space well but struggled to move under gravity. As their repairing arms are some of the best tools for both repairing and close range combat with heavy duty rivet guns and plasma cutters, they are unable to function on the ground.
SEU-02 or Explorer MK. 02
Taking the pod and giving it 4 large legs allowed it to move across the battlefield in a slow lumbering fashion but it was able to repair most allied and friendly armor.
SEU-03 or Explorer MK. 03
Building on the mobility issues of these slow moving repair pods the empire began to formulate using tank treads. Although a few thousand units were produced with tank treads acting as legs, the same issues plagued the unit. Destruction or disabling the mobility instantly grounded the unit. They looked at the other HAS units and designed a large tentacle-like backpack unit.
SEU-04 or Explorer MK. 04

Cylindrical unit which has 8 robotic arms with tools ranging from plasma cutters and welder to rivet guns and a small laser gun. The unit may look funny to the enemy as a ball with legs until it begins to rapidly restore the heaviest armor and install a small ai chip if the crew was killed.
