What is a Shield Spell or Spell Shield? The Shield Spell or Spell Shield is an Arcane based spell which blocks a spell casted on the target. Unfortunately this can become a problem if the spell casted on the target is of positive effect. Although the Spell Shield is the most popular choice of spell protection and negation, due to its neutral stance it is not used as often as one would expect. When casted it is a sphere created from 2 spheres layered on top of each other. Each sphere consists of overlapping rotating sections of magical power, one section rotates vertically while the other rotates horizontally. Due to how this spell is all encompassing research into this spell has given much insight. Although on many worlds spells are created for a common or specific purpose like the Reduce Magic Damage or Reduce Physical Damage Spells, The Empire has discovered a True Variant of these Spells in the form of splitting apart the Spell Shield Spell. This has allowed for the development of 2 new spells.
Spell Damage:
Spell Shield / Shield Spell: Creates a spell barrier which blocks a hit from a spell, it stops the damage and effects on a target as the shield is destroyed in the progress. The longer the spell is charged the more spell damage hits it can negate. [Arcane] [Defensive] [Single Target]
