Bolt Spells And You

What are Bolt Spells or Small Ball Spells? Through extensive magical research into Bolt Spells or the spells of a lesser strength, construction, quality, and range, the Bolt Spell is an entry level construction spell built atop the base element. In observation of many worlds with similar magic systems in regard to no extras like chants or circles when casting a fireball this is the discovered breakdown.

In the Empire, it is customary for every mage to learn all basic elements and the ball variations to further their general knowledge. Afterwards a magic caster may learn other things, as an Empire soldier uses the base level element spell they are in fact using the Bolt Spell. To this effect all Empire soldiers learn a higher level of magic unbeknownst to them, however in regards to the construction of spells the following research has been made public.

Bolt Spells are the basic version of the condensed element the magic caster is manipulating. In regards to a Fire Bolt Spell, the raw Fire is harnessed within the hand of the caster. As the caster channels magic into the element to enhance its size and strength, they will begin to spin it together in a slight manner as they build the desired shape. A Fire Bolt Spell is condensed ball of flames while an Earth Bolt Spell is hardened Earth magic formed into a spike. Even though it is a more diluted and weaker form of magic, most mages and magic casters will learn the Bolt Spell as a step one spell creation as they build bigger and stronger spells. Bolt Spells are fast to create and use making them highly capable against lesser armored and weaker targets. Why use a massive ball of fire to do the job of a small ball if all you need to do is make a simple fire? In this regard, the Bolt Spells are categorized due to their wide spread use of all non-Empire magic casters as the ball spell on their worlds but the normal bolt spell for the empire.

Corrosion Bolt:

Condensing the Corrosive magics into a small oval shaped bolt which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Acid and Burn effect as it deals low Corrosion damage to the target. Dark Bolt:

Condensing the Dark magics into a small mass which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Darkness and Silence  effect as it deals low Dark damage to the target. Earth Bolt:

Condensing the Earth magics into a spike which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Poison and Petrify effect as it deals low Piercing Earth damage to the target. [Earth] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Fire Bolt:

Condensing the Fire magics into a ball which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Burn and Weakening effect as it deals low Fire damage to the target. [Fire] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Holy Bolt:

Condensing the Holy magics into an oval shaped ball which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Stun and Slow effect as it deals low Holy damage to the target. Ice Bolt:

Condensing the Ice magics into a small icicle which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Cold and Frost effect as it deals low Ice damage to the target. Light Bolt:

Condensing the Light magics into a small cube which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Confusion and Blind effect as it deals low Light damage to the target. Lightning Bolt:

Condensing the Lightning magics into a dense bolt which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Shock and Paralyze effect as it deals low Lightning damage to the target. Nature Bolt:

Condensing the Nature magics into a small spike which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Slow and Poison effect as it deals low Piercing Nature damage to the target. [Nature] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Water Bolt:

Condensing the Water magics into an oval shaped bolt which allows it to travel a higher distance to the target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Wet and Cold effect as it deals low Water damage to the target. Wind Bolt:

Condensing the Wind magics into a small oval shaped bolt which allows it to travel a higher distance as it is shot at a target. The increased range and shooting nature causes it to have less damage and effect chance. It has a low chance to inflict the Shatter and Bleed effect as it deals low Wind damage to the target. Poison Bolt:

Condensing Poison magics into a small oval shaped bolt which allows it to travel a far distance as it is shot at a target. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Poison effect as it deals moderate Poison damage to the target. [Poison] [Offensive] [Single Target]
 

Frozen Bolt:

Condensing Frost magics into a sharp icicle which allows it to travel a far distance as it is shot at a target. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Frozen effect as it deals low Piercing Ice damage to the target. [Ice] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Silencing Bolt:

Condensing Dark magics into a small ball allowing it to travel a far distance to a target causing them to be unable to cast spells or use magics. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Silence effect as it deals low Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Petrification Bolt:

Condensing Earth magics into a sharp spike which allows it to travel a far distance as it is shot at a target warping their skin into thick stone with each hit. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Petrification effect as it deals low Piercing Earth damage to the target. [Earth] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Shattering Bolt:

Condensing pure Arcane vibration magics into a hollow spike which allows it to travel a far distance as it is shot at a target dealing almost no damage but shattering any target under the Petrification or Frozen Status Effects. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Shatter effect as it deals very low Arcane damage to the target. [Arcane] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Curse Bolt:

Condensing pure Dark magics into a tiny black ball, it will inflict a temporary curse on a target reducing all of their stats by 20% until the end of battle. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Stat Curse effect as it deals low Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Berserking Bolt:

Condensing Arcane magics into a small ball allowing it to travel a far distance to a target. When hit the target enters into a Berserk state increasing their damage by 50% but they are only able to basic attack until the Berserk effect is removed or the battle ends. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Berserk effect as it deals low Arcane damage to the target. [Arcane] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Blinding Bolt:

Condensing Dark magics into a mass, it travels to a target causing them to be unable to see well and reduces their sight based abilities. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Darkness effect as it deals low Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Paralyzing Bolt:

Condensing Lightning magics into a orb which allows it to travel a far distance to a target causing them to be unable to use actions as they are shocked making them Paralyzed. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Paralyzed effect as it deals low Lightning damage to the target. [Lightning] [Offensive] [Single Target]


Stunning Bolt:

Condensing Lightning magics into a ball, it travels to a target causing them to be unable to use actions as they are shocked making them Stunned. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Stun effect as it deals low Lightning damage to the target. [Lightning] [Offensive] [Single Target]
