Raining Spells And The Damage Above Them

Rain Spells are fundamentally large wide area of effect spells which inflict their elemental damage and effects across the affected area. As the spell increases in power and size it becomes a devastating spell which can destroy a nation and all its cities. The absolute peak of this spell is the Meteor Spell, the large city size sphere of earth that crashes down obliterating the area in  its entirety.

Rain Spells And You

What is the Rain Spell? The Rain Spell creates spheres of elemental power high in the sky above the clouds. It then begins to shoot them downwards hitting a large area as the spheres explode on contact. Although it is similar to a Ball Spell, this spell isn’t one which can be stopped easily. The Rain Spell can be casted one of 2 ways with the second way being the more powerful of the two. The first way is when the Rain Spell is casted, it creates a massive amount of charging spheres in the sky that will automatically drop when their power is charged. The second way which can be used with the first, the Rain Spell is a channeled spell which has a constant barrage of more charged powerful spheres dealing much more damage. The down side in the second version is the channeling that is required to keep the spell up, while the first version is an easy cast then move on, it is less powerful and has a single wave of spheres.

A note on the spells functionality, although it is a large devastation class spell that can ruin a city, it has to be recasted multiple times to move it around as it is locked to the area in which the spheres will rain down.

Either way the Rain Spell can easily be modified to deal more damage or more effects and it is common to see fiery balls rain down on a village to cause it to burn down or water balls to rain down and extinguish fires in a large area.

Rain Of Fire: Creating Fire Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. Rain Of Holy Ball: Creating Holy Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. Rain Of Ice: Creating Ice Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. Rain Of Water: Creating Water Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area. It has a low chance to inflict the Wet and Cold effect as it deals moderate Water damage to the target. [Water] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Wind: Creating Wind Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area. It has a low chance to inflict the Shatter and Bleed effect as it deals moderate Wind damage to the target. [Wind] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Poison: Creating Poison Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area. It has a low chance to inflict the Poison effect as it deals moderate Corrosion damage to the target. [Corrosion] [Offensive] [AoE]


Freezing Rain: Creating Frost Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Frozen effect as it deals moderate Ice damage to the target. [Ice] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Silencing: Creating Dark Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area causing them to be unable to cast spells or use magics. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Silence effect as it deals moderate Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Petrification: Creating Earth Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area, warping their skin into thick stone with each hit. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Petrification effect as it deals moderate Earth damage to the target. [Earth] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Shattering: Creating pure Arcane vibration magics into Arcane Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area, shattering any target under the Petrification or Frozen Status Effects. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Shatter effect as it deals low Arcane damage to the target. [Arcane] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Curses: Creating pure Dark Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area inflicting a temporary curse on a target reducing all of their stats by 20% until the end of battle. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Stat Curse effect as it deals moderate Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of The Berserker: Creating Arcane Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area. When hit, the target enters into a Berserk state increasing their damage by 50% but they are only able to basic attack until the Berserk effect is removed or the battle ends. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Berserk effect as it deals moderate Arcane damage to the target. [Arcane] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Blinding Darkness: Creating Dark Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area causing them to be unable to see well and reduces their sight based abilities. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Darkness effect as it deals moderate Dark damage to the target. [Dark] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Paralysis: Creating Lightning Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area causing them to be unable to use actions as they are shocked making them Paralyzed. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Paralyzed effect as it deals moderate Lightning damage to the target. [Lightning] [Offensive] [AoE]


Rain Of Stunning Lightning: Creating Lightning Balls high in the sky, they rain down dealing moderate damage in a large area where the caster targets. They explode on impact as they deal Area of Effect damage to all targets caught in the impact area causing them to be unable to use actions as they are shocked making them Stunned. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Stun effect as it deals moderate Lightning damage to the target. [Lightning] [Offensive] [AoE]
 

Rain Of Flaming Earth

What is a Rain Of Flaming Earth Spell and how is it different from a Meteor Spell? The Meteor Spell is fundamentally a larger version of the Rain Of Flaming Earth Spell. The Empire has renamed this spell to the Mini Meteor Spell. This is a larger dual element version of the Rain Spell which focuses on using Earth Bolts or chunks of earth wrapped in powerful flaming Fire Balls. This is casted downwards from low orbit causing huge damage over a large area and is capable of leveling a large city or castle with ease. A powerful magical shield or barrier can block the spell which crushes the earth but the fire can remain and turn into a small fire rain when the defensive bubble or shield fails.

Rain Of Flaming Earth : A large amount of flaming earth balls are created in low orbit and begin to to come crashing down at a target location far from the caster. The larger balls of flaming earth deal massive damage across a large area as they explode on impact sending flaming rock shrapnel in all directions. It has a moderate chance to inflict the Poison, Petrify, Burn, and Weakening effect as it deals moderate associated element damage to the target. [Fire / Earth] [Offensive] [AoE]
 

The Great Meteor Spell

What is a Meteor Spell? The Meteor Spell is known by many names: Calamity, Great Destroyer, Ender of Worlds, End Times, Big Ball Of Fire, or other great natural disasters. A huge chunk of rock is lit on fire in low orbit then dropped onto an area. The size and scale will depend on various factors such as the casters strength, power, energy, ability, and skills. No matter how unskilled a caster is, the minimum size of this earthen chunk of flaming death will be the size of a town in diameter and can destroy entire continents if it hits just right, most of the time due to the unskilled magic caster, the Meteor Spell will slam directly in front of them.

When coming across a Meteor Spell the first thing the defenders must do is to either stop the cast, remove the rock, or most likely destroy the Meteor Spell entirely in a single go. Failing to do so will cause it to break apart and increase the level of destruction as the flaming rock chunks hit a huge area. Seeing the damage this causes, masters of the Meteor Spell will purposely make them weak so when they are attacked or if the caster deems it needed the Meteor Spell will break apart back into the Rain Of Flaming Earth Spell with a lot more destructive capabilities.

Meteor: A huge storm of flaming earth balls are created in low orbit and begin to fuse together as a massive ball of earthen might. It then begins to come crashing down at a target location far from the caster. Due to its massive size, it is ignited on entry and as it lands it causes damage 4 different times. First when it hits the ground in a large Area of Effect based on its size. Second when hitting the ground it then sends out a massive shockwave outwards pushing people back and sometimes knocking them down. Third when the ground is cracked open due to the impact causing a small earthquake which can knock people down. Fourth when the Meteor then explodes sending a huge wave of force outwards filled with flaming shrapnel rocks which are highly volatile. It has a high chance to inflict the Poison, Petrify, Burn, and Weakening effect as it deals high associated element damage to the target. [Fire / Earth] [Offensive] [AoE]
